The Olysis Origin Story

How Two Women From Different Worlds Built a Sanctuary of Transformation

Before Olysis origin—before the tranquil rooms, the soft music, the glow of renewed confidence—there were two women walking very different paths, each searching for something they couldn’t yet name.

Sara’s Beginning: A Spark in the Treatment Room

In 2004, Sara Wolfe was a kindergarten teacher juggling lesson plans and bookkeeping, quietly battling the frustration of unwanted hair she believed she’d carry forever. A chance moment—a radio segment joking about electrolysis—sent her down a path that would change everything.

Her first treatment lit a fire. Not just in the results, but in the connection, the care, the transformation. She became a believer, then an advocate, then—after years of encouragement from her electrologist—a practitioner herself.

By 2013, she founded Hair Today Gone Tomorrow, building a reputation for compassion, precision, and integrity. Clients trusted her. They confided in her. They healed with her. And she built a team that carried her values forward.

Sara’s story is one of heart, service, and devotion to a craft that changes lives one follicle at a time.

Jamie’s Beginning: A Life Built on Reinvention

Jamie Cartoon

Long before she ever stepped into aesthetics, Jamie Johnson lived a life powered by creativity and technical mastery. Music, architecture, 3D modeling, systems design, drones, carpentry—she lived on the bleeding edge of innovation, always building, always learning, always solving.

But in 2019, she walked into Sara’s electrolysis studio as a client seeking relief from a lifelong struggle with hair that no laser could treat. What she found was more than a service. She found a craft. A science. A transformation that resonated with her on a level she didn’t yet understand.

Jamie became a training model, a collaborator, a problem‑solver. She helped optimize systems, streamline processes, and support the business behind the scenes. But she never imagined she’d enter the field herself.

Then 2021 arrived. A layoff. A crossroads. A phone call from a local spa owner offering her a chance to buy the business.

Jamie didn’t have a license. She didn’t have experience. But she had courage, curiosity, and a lifetime of building the impossible.

She bought the spa. She learned the industry from the ground up. She read every textbook, studied every technique, and eventually trained under Sara to become an electrologist herself.

Jamie’s story is one of reinvention, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Two Paths Converge

For years, Sara and Jamie orbited each other—client and provider, mentor and student, business owner and business owner. Their strengths were opposite but complementary:

·     Sara: the heart, the healer, the technician

·     Jamie: the architect, the visionary, the systems‑builder

They spoke different professional languages, but somehow always understood each other. Their conversations clicked. Their ideas aligned. Their goals mirrored one another’s.

In 2023, the timing finally aligned. Sara approached Jamie with the idea of merging their businesses. Jamie had been hoping for the same thing.

It wasn’t just a partnership. It was a puzzle snapping into place.

The Birth of Olysis

In January 2024, they merged. In January 2025, they rebranded. And Olysis Med Spa was born.

A name that means “the end of electrolysis”—the very outcome they strive to deliver. A sanctuary built on:

  • transformation

  • education

  • integrity

  • science

  • artistry

  • empathy

  • community

Olysis is not a spa. It’s a retreat. A refuge. A place where people walk in with doubt and walk out with hope.

What They Built Together

Sara brought decades of experience, compassion, and technical mastery. Jamie brought innovation, structure, emotional intelligence, and vision.

Together, they created:

  • a dual‑discipline spa where skincare and electrolysis support each other

  • a training ground for future electrologists and aestheticians

  • a membership program that makes self‑care sustainable

  • a culture of honesty, education, and client empowerment

  • a team that reflects their shared values

The Future They’re Building

Sara dreams of elevating the profession, educating the public, and giving clients the confidence they’ve long been denied.

Jamie dreams of expanding Olysis into a national—and eventually international—network of spas known for quality, tranquility, mentorship, and accessibility.

Together, they’re building a legacy.

A place where transformation isn’t just possible—it’s inevitable. A place where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated. A place where beauty is not manufactured, but uncovered.

This is Olysis. Born from two journeys. Built on two strengths. Guided by one mission:

To help every person feel at home in their own skin.
